Sora waited impatiently, coat draped over her arm, her fingers drumming against the railing of the solid oak staircase that wrapped around the edge of the main room. Her mother wouldn’t let her go anywhere without someone going with to keep an eye on her, like she was a six year old. Sora despised her bodyguards on principle. But Tatsuya, Tatsuya she didn’t mind. She didn’t even pretend to mind him in front of her mom anymore.
“I don’t know why I couldn’t just meet him there,” she complained to the air, “it’d be so much easier for both of us.” Sora loved going to Yoyogi Park, she’d go there as often as her parents would let her, which wasn’t nearly often enough in her opinion.
The door opened. Before Sora even saw Tatsuya’s blue-haired face, she ran down the last few steps, grabbed his arm, and pulled him outside.
“Will you take me to Yoyogi Park?” she asked, “please.”

W O R D S ;; seven hundred sixty-seven. T A G G E D ;; enigma as sora. M U S E ;; it's muse. C: N O T E S ;; sorry if this is horrible. X'D
There was many a time when Tatsuya questioned his decisions in life. This whole scenario - the one where he'd accidentally ended up with a nineteen-year-old woman to take care of in case of emergency - especially. Sure he got paid more than his parents could have ever dreamed to make as mutants in a human environment and his employers could have been a whole lot worse, but it all just seemed kind of... wrong. He was hardly even body guard material, after all, having never even attempted to keep others from harm simply because, more often than not, he couldn't. What if the female he was to protect was hurt under his watch and there was nothing he could do? What if she died, bleed out in his hands and all he could do was watch? Surely, he'd follow her to her grave as punishment for being so careless. And, punishment aside, it would kill him mentally to know that he might have been able to do something but didn't out of the weakness in his heart, as well. What if she tripped and fell and her hair got caught in a train and...?
By now, these sort of thoughts were just routine for him as he made his way toward the Sada home, head hung low in just the slightest and blue eyes staring at his polished black shoes as they scrapped against the stone leading up to the front door. It was better to get all the pessimistic thoughts out of the way in the early morning as to prevent them from getting in the way as the rest of the day progressed, the blue-haired man believed, so he'd often work to get them off his chest before checking up on the heiress first thing of the day. Optimism was supposed to be one of his strong points, anyway; flush the bad out of your head before anyone else can realize that even the most cheery of people can't be all sunshine and rainbows all the time. Upon reaching said grand door from earlier, he paused and let out a deep sigh, imagining his thoughts being swept away along with the gaseous elements that made up the atmosphere. "Smile," he reminded himself in a quiet hush, thought with enough force that he followed the command at once. "The better your mood, the better the mood of others." Taking no more than a second after consoling with himself, he reached out a hand to open the door and do what any sensible person would do: enter.
"Good morning, Miss -" However, Tatsuya had hardly the time to even finish the sentance much less fully enter when a mess of black hair attached to a lithe body flung itself at him, latched onto his arm, and spun him into the arms of the great outdoors once more. Dazed and a little more than slightly confused, he tried to focus on the figure before him even though he already had a good guess as to who it was. The voice belonging to said "mystery stranger" only held solidify his hypothesis. "Will you take me to Yoyogi Park?" Sora was asking immediately, pausing and then adding a "please" at the end as though she'd forgotten her manners. It was a little hard not to laugh a bit at her antics. It was exactly early in the morning, but early enough that even he would be unable to muster the sort of energy she was radiating with. Not that a small part of him wasn't expecting the question to pop up any time soon; the park was one of the heiress' favorite places to go and her parents rarely ever let her go alone, so he was often dragged out there with her. "Still haven't switched to decaf, I guess. Seriously, tell me your secret: how are you so bouncy in the morning?"
This was an obvious attempt to waffle around the question - something that he would do sometimes to annoy others - but he never kept up the act for long. The small smile on his face exploded into a full out grin, teeth and all, and, as an answer, he jokingly held out a bent arm for her to grab. "Well, if you want to go, it better be sometime this year. I don't want too many gray hairs before we get there."

"Well, if you want to go, it better be sometime this year. I don't want too many gray hairs before we get there.”
“Too late,” Sora said as she took the arm offered to her, tossing her coat back within the doors. It was much too cold for such apparel.
“Ooh, you almost have a muscle forming,” she joked, “keep this up, and you’ll look like a regular scary bodyguard by the time I’m forty.” Sora loved walking to the park with Tatsuya, almost as much as she enjoyed being at the park with Tatsuya. She loved the spider webs cracks in the sidewalk, the glitter of sunlight reflected off metal, the feel of Tatsuya so close to her, as if he expected a train to suddenly appear on the sidewalk and come barreling towards her.
Sora was immune to the strange looks passersby gave her, the words whispered behind her back went unnoticed because it had never occurred to her to listen for such a sound. If the neighbors looked down on her for being a mutant, she never realized it.
“Tatsuya,” Sora asked, “do you think Mom and Dad’ll ever let me go alone? I mean- it’s not that I’m tired of you, it’s just that you must get bored of me after awhile. It’s not like I’m the most interesting person in the world.”
